Debunking myths many aspiring lawyers and the public have about diversity in the legal sphere, Ruth will share how to truly embrace and action Inclusion and Diversity, how junior lawyers are empowering their chambers and firms through grassroots initiatives and tips for bringing in and the retention of more diverse talent. Ruth will be drawing from her experience as the founder of Cake & Counsel, a legal wellbeing and networking platform connecting aspiring lawyers with practitioners across the legal system, an Equality and Diversity Officer for her chambers, member of the Race Working Group for the Bar Council, and various legal charities.
